Aurora Pipeling — Chief Executive Director

I am proud to have been the Founder of The Work-Family Connection in 1989. Since that time, I have held every position in the organization as it grew from one to over twenty-five Before and After School Programs, Kindergarten Extended Day Programs and Summer Camp Programs all over the state of New Jersey. I truly love working with our staff, our parents, and most of all seeing the smiles on the children’s faces.

I have a BA from Douglass College and graduated from the Wellesley College School-Age Care Leadership Institute. I have completed graduate credits at the Wharton School, Columbia Graduate School of Business, and Cornell University. I am trained in Positive Discipline, Conflict Resolution, and CPR & First Aid Instruction. I am a certified Endorser for the National After-School Alliance, and have served as President and Board Member of the New Jersey School-Age Care Coalition.

I have served as Vice-President on my local Board of Education and chair the Communications and Policy Committee. I also also have served as Vice-President of the Educational Services Commission. Prior to 1989, I was in Executive Management at AT&T. I have lived in Hunterdon County since 1976. I am the proud mom of Katie and Clinton.

Venetia WeeksSenior Director - Public Relations, Marketing, & Fund Raising

"Ms. V" is what most of the students, families, co-workers call me.  As a Senior Director with WFC since 2003, I have a job that incorporates many of my favorite things.  I enjoy helping young people to learn life skills:  independence, self-reliance, manners and good communication skills.  I enjoy helping to train site director's and teachers, giving them the tools they need to do a great job. I enjoy talking with parents each day about the most important people in their lives. I enjoy planning WFC special programs and events, such as our fashion shows, Family Financial Literacy nights,  Parent Appreciation Events, Basketball trips, and more.  Most of all, I enjoy being able to write for grants and secure corporate sponsorships that help to support our growing not-for-profit programs.

When I am not at work, I enjoy traveling the United States, listening to live music and walking with my dog, (Boon).  I am married to Jay (also known as Mr. V), we live on a farm in Hunterdon County, and have 2 grown sons, Ryan and David.  Ryan is married, enlisted in the Air Force and is currently stationed in Virginia Beach.  David presently attends Montclair State University.

Ann Borghard — Assistant Senior Director

For seven years I have been working with The Work-Family Connection.  I started as an Assistant Teacher for the Clinton Township Kindergarten Wrap-Around Program.  I have done Enrichment Specials for After School Programs and Directed the WFC Summer Camp. It has been a pleasure working alongside my colleagues, with our parents and most of all teaching the children.

Prior to working for the WFC I was an Administrator at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical College for fourteen years where I also volunteered at the Children's Burn Unit. After moving to California I began working as a Teacher Assistant for the Saugus School District in Valencia. In addition, I enjoyed teaching CCD at Immaculate Conception Parish.

My two children,  Thomas,  who attends Providence College and Lauren, who attends North Hunterdon High School are the joy in my life.

Katie Pipeling — Assistant Senior Director

I am living in Bloomsbury, where I purchased my first home last year in January 2006. I have a 9 year old cat, Calvin who holds a huge piece of my heart! I also have two Miniature Schnauzer puppies named Abbey and Henry. I am very lucky to have such great company in my quiet Home.

I supervise our porgrams in Alexandreia Twp, Franklin Twp, Bernardsville and Bloombury. I am also responsible for human resources and payroll. I am proud to say that my Mother built this company in 1989. She is my mentor and my closest friend. After researching for quality care for my brother and me, she decided to create herself what she wasn’t able to find: quality, safe and flexible enrichment programs for kids!

I have worked in many capacities with WFC for a total of 11 years. I began working as a Jr. Assistant when I attended Voorhees H.S. In between that time I worked as a full-time professional Nanny for a wonderful family of 3 children for over 2 years. I have attended Raritan Valley Community College and St. Elizabeth’s College. I am proud to be a positive role model for your children, to hire great staff and progress in the company.

Linda GadaOffice Administrator

I am one of the Office Administrators. I have worked for The Work-Family Connection since 1999. I started working as a computer technician in the WFC office, then I was transferred to work in the before and after school programs. That was it!  I was hooked! I love working with the children.

I have worked in many different   programs in Hunterdon County, but for the past five years I was the Site Director at the Spruce Run School.  That is where my heart is! Some of the children I have known since Kindergarten and it is amazing how they've grown. They love coming to the program and the parents have a hard time getting them to leave. Working with children is rewarding and I look forward to each and every day. It's a nice feeling at the end of each day, knowing that you may have helped a parent or child  that day.

I have recently received a promotion to Office Administrator. I will still run the Annual Fashion Show at Spruce Run and do some special programs for the children at the Spruce Run program. Always feel free to talk to me at any time.
