Lunch and Snacks - When sending a lunch and snacks, please use a brown paper bag with your child's name on it inside a "Ziploc" bag. Do not send bottles or coolers. Your camper will be carrying his/her lunch, so it needs to be lightweight, disposable, and easy to carry. The Work-Family Connection does not provide lunch, snacks, or beverages, other than water.

Money- We will inform you what is available on each trip, i.e. snack bars, souvenir shops, etc. Sending money is your option, you are not required to send any additional money unless your camper needs to buy lunch.

Souvenir Money- We strongly encourage $5 or less for souvenir money. More is inappropriate and not needed.

Groups- Your child will have a group teacher for each trip. The members of the group will be approximately the same age. All group teachers will have an I.D. card with emergency information on each camper in their group, for each trip.

Trip Departure Time-YOU MUST BE PROMPT ON ALL TRIP DAYS. This is essential, since we are on a tight time schedule. In many cases, we have reservations for a certain arrival time. Being late means that your child may start out the day poorly. We will leave at the scheduled departure time.

We expect that all campers will wear seat belts at all times - no excuses.

Parent Chaperones- Parents are welcome to accompany us on trips. Seats on the bus are first for campers, then staff. Only if extra bus seats are available will parents ride on the bus. Parents are responsible for all their own admission and other fees and will be assigned to a group leader. Parents must stay with their camper's group at all times.

Cancellations- Trip reservations are made months in advance. In the unlikely event that a trip is canceled for weather or an emergency, it may not be rescheduled. WFC will find an alternate event for that day or another day.

Child I.D. Cards- On all trips, the group teacher will carry an I.D. Card for each camper, which contains all important information about the child, i.e., emergency information, medical information, medications, etc.

    Discipline Policy:

Please review and discuss all aspects of this Policy with your campers before the start of Camp.

The safety of our campers and staff is critical! Structure and limits are necessary. Clearly understood safety rules have been developed for this purpose. These rules will be enforced consistently, and fairly. It is essential that the campers know the rules and the positive consequences for following the rules, as well as the negative consequences for breaking them.

Behavior reports are completed at the discretion of the Camp staff. Reports are written for physical violence, on-going and consistent negative behavior or unusual or atypical behavior for that camper or age group.

The Camp Supervisor and the Executive Director can make a decision to remove a camper from camp who displays any of the above, or who, in the opinion of the Camp staff, poses a danger to any child or staff member. Parents/guardians will receive a copy of the report and must sign when received.

Efforts will be made to work with the camper and parent(s) to correct the behavior in a positive way. It is not our intention to remove any child from Camp, but we reserve the right to do so, in the event that we deem that no other alternative exists. No tuition refunds will be honored in the case of the discharge of a child for reasons of behavior.
