The Work-Family Connection, the nonprofit organization that provides quality after school programs throughout New Jersey, is proud and excited to announce their 2017 WFC Alumni Scholarship recipients! The scholarship was open to high school seniors who have attended one or more WFC program in the past. The applicants were required to write an essay explaining how the Work-Family Connection helped to lead them to college. The winners are:

Brendan Feeley from North Hunterdon High School, attending University of Virginia for Chemical Engineering
Eli Longordo from North Hunterdon High School, attending The College of New Jersey for Business/Finance
Sophia McElroy from North Hunterdon High School, attending North Carolina State University for Business Administration
Emily Gretta from Voorhees High School, attending James Madison University for Psychology
Alanna Miller from Voorhees High School, attending Fairleigh Dickenson University for Business
Rachel Silberman from Voorhees High School, attending University of Delaware for Psychology
Catarina DeMatos from Chatham High School, attending New Jersey Institute of Technology for Computer Science
Julia Silva from Hanover Park High School, attending Pennsylvania State University for Business
Each recipient was awarded $2,000.00! An award ceremony was held for them at Patrick McGaheran School, during our after school program hours. The elementary students were thrilled to see the high school seniors get their awards. Both the parents and staff members are so proud of the recipients and how far they have come, with the help of WFC. Congratulations and we wish the entire graduating class of 2017 the best of luck in their future!!
