Afterschool-Ambassador-Aurora-Pipeling-Offers -Training-On Bullying-

“Let’s-Get-Real”
“Let’s Get Real” Training…April 28, 2011…Tewksbury Library

Part of The Respect For All Project,  Let’s Get Real examines a variety of issues that lead to taunting and bullying, including racial differences, perceived sexual orientation, learning disabilities, religious differences,   sexual harassment and others. The film not only gives a voice to targeted kids, but also to kids who do the bullying   to find out why they lash out at their peers and how it makes them feel. The most heartening part of Let’s Get Real includes stories of kids who have mustered the courage to stand up for themselves or a classmate.

This training is part of the series of Afterschool Trainings being presented by Aurora Pipeling,  Founder & Chief Executive Director of The Work-Family Connection.  Aurora Pipeling has been appointed NJ Afterschool Ambassador, chosen for her leadership, expertise and commitment to the field of Afterschool, upon recommendations of School District Superintendents throughout the State of NJ and her peers in the Afterschool profession.

As NJ Ambassador, Aurora Pipeling brings her 25+ years of experience and education in the field of after school programs to a new NJSACC initiative to create a statewide network of after school professionals who volunteer their time to share valuable resources, ideas and provide training.

“Afterschool programs work hard every day to help children succeed in school and in life. I have represented this field for more than 20 years.  As Afterschool Ambassador, I will continue to share our successes and to help programs be even more effective,” says Aurora Pipeling.
