WFC Morris County proudly hosted its annual Spelling Bee on Friday, February 6, 2026 — and the excitement in the room was undeniable. Students, families, and staff came together for an afternoon filled with confidence, courage, and community spirit.
This year’s competition took place at Washington Avenue School in Chatham, NJ, where 29 enthusiastic contestants stepped up to the microphone, ready to spell their hearts out. Round after round, students impressed the audience with their focus, sportsmanship, and determination as the words grew more challenging.
Our dedicated WFC staff played a huge role in making the event a success. From organizing materials to cheering on participants, their teamwork helped create a warm, supportive environment where every child felt encouraged to do their best.
Whether students advanced to the final rounds or were eliminated early, each participant walked away proud — and rightfully so. Events like this highlight what makes WFC special: opportunities for students to grow, shine, and celebrate learning in a fun, community‑centered way.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s Spelling Bee and can’t wait to see even more students step up to the challenge.
