On November 7, 2025, WFC staff from all three regions came together for our annual Back‑to‑School Training. Something some may call a cornerstone event that strengthens our programs and supports the high‑quality care families count on. Throughout the day, every team member completed four comprehensive training sessions designed to enhance skills, reinforce safety, and elevate the student experience across our Before and After School Programs.
Staff participated in a wide range of hands‑on and discussion‑based workshops, including:
- Policies and procedures
- Outdoor games and active play
- STEM activities and enrichment
- Cooking club lessons
- Allergy awareness and safety
- Strategies for engaging Pre‑K and Kindergarten students
- “What Would You Do?” real‑program scenarios
- Building and maintaining professional boundaries
Our childcare professionals were fully engaged from start to finish- collaborating, problem‑solving, and jumping into activities with enthusiasm. Whether they were experimenting with STEM materials, practicing new games, or participating in thoughtful conversations, each staff member contributed to a day filled with learning, teamwork, and renewed commitment to the children and families we serve.
