Winter Holiday Community Service Projects

This holiday season our Somerset & Union County Site Coordinator, Mr. John, set up a partnership with a local community organization to help bring a little joy to the homeless and hurting in New Jersey. We invited all of the WFC programs in our five counties to donate items such as toiletries, warm weather accessories, and food items. Our students are using these items to make decorated shoe boxes that will be given to the needy. We have created about 30 boxes!! The boxes were distributed at a Love Feast on December 12 in Springfield, NJ.

At our Hunterdon/Warren County Programs, the students worked on making holiday cards to deliver to the residents at the Country Arch Nursing Home in Pittstown, NJ.

Our Morris County Programs spent time preparing bagged lunches for Bridges Outreach, Inc. for Thanksgiving.

If you are interested in learning more about our community service projects, or if you know of an organization that you think could use our help, please reach out to Christa Claytor at [email protected].
